Meeting in the Middle
On my way to the airport to drop off a family member, I accidently changed my radio to a country station
Its been awhile since I have listened to country music. Normally I switch it very fast, but the words to the song playing caught my attention. I have heard this song before, but it was at least 15 years ago. The chorus is the part that really spoke to me:

That if we don’t see eye to eye there’s something we can do
I’d start walking your way
You’d start walking mine
We’d meet in the middle
‘Neath that old Georgia pine
We’d gain a lot of ground
‘Cause we’d both give a little
And their ain’t no road to long
When you meet in the middle
This was a good reminder to me that if we meet in the middle with others we can work anything out. We have to be willing to bend and to let go of our pride and ideals and just start walking towards them as they walk towards us.
